Sable a Warrior proper stantant clad in a red cuirass covered with a white coat of mail with a helmet Or, dagger and sword Argent handled Or and holding in dexter a Spear of the last topped Argent and in sinister a round Shield of the same adorned Gules.

Since 2011 Hätzingen is part of Glarus Süd commune.

In 2004 Hätzingen merged intermediately with Diesbach and Luchsingen into the new commune of Luchsingen.
