26 November 2006, 29 November 2015CVP (Christlichdemokratische Volkspartei der Schweiz)
PDC (Parti
démocrate-chrétien)
PPD (Partito popolare democratico svizzero)
PCD (Partida
cristiandemocratica Svizra)
(Christian-democratic People's Party of
Switzerland)
This is the smallest of the "big four" parties in
Switzerland. It has a Christian-Democratic program. Currently it has 28 seats in
the 200-seat lower chamber of the Swiss Parliament (Nationalrat = National
Council). One CVP member is minister in the federal government (Bundesrat =
Federal Council).
The flag is square and shows the party logo on a white field. The party logo is orange with the abbreviation of the party in white and a partly visible Swiss cross in the fly. Although the logo comes in all four official languages of Switzerland [1], the flag apparently is available only in the German version [2] with the inscription "CVP" and the French version [3] with the inscription "PDC".

The corporate identity manual [1] defines the orange colour of the logo as
Pantone 144 (CMYK 0/60/100/0; RGB 238/127/0); however, the flag is nowhere
defined or described in the 43 pages of the CI manual.
Back in 2006 I had
evidence for the flag in the German (CVP) and French (PDC) versions only. In the
meantime I have found photographs of the Italian version (PPD) as well [2,3]. A few additional
photos have emerged of the German version [4] and the French version [5,6]

A variant obviously only used as small paper flag
(blue-orange-white-orange with the logo in four languages in the white stripe):
