The town of Mirabel (59,612 inhabitants in 2020; 48,680 ha) is located 20
  km west of Montreal.
The town of Saint-Scholastique, renamed to Mirabel on
27 January 1973, was established in 1971 as the merger of 14 former entities:
  Parishes of Saint-Augustin, Saint-Benoît, Saint-Canut, Saint-Antoine-des-Laurentides,
  Saint-Hermas, Saint-Janvier-de-Blainville, Saint-Jérusalem-d'Argenteuil,
  Sainte-Monique, and Sainte-Scholastique; Villages of Saint-Augustin, Saint-Benoît,
  and Sainte-Scholastique; Municipality of
Saint-Janvier-de-la-Croix.
The international airport of Mirabel was presented in 1967 as "the Project of
the Century". Its building, planned on 39,355 ha of Quebec's most productive
arable land, needed the expropriation of 3,000 households. Imagined during
aviation's heyday, the airport was expected to cater 40 millions passengers
per year in 2000. The airport was inaugurated on 14 October 1975 by Prime
  Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau,
but the petrol crisis and economical
recession soon turned the pharaonic project into the "Scandal of the Century".
Finally built on only 7,800 ha - but the unused plots was retroced to their
owners only 15 years, the airport peaked in 1990 with only 2.5 millions
passengers. In 1997, Aéroports de Montreal announced the transfer of passenger
flight to Dorval. So did Air Transat ans Sky Service, the last two companies
scheduling flights in Dorval, did the same in November 2004.

Flag is, or was, the former logo on white.
There is a newer logo, but
have not seen it applied to a flag.

On May 13 2005 on Radio-Canada Television, I saw a white flag with the
name of the city in blue letters behind the mayor. The logo was probably
also on the flag, though it was not visible because the flag was wrapped
      around a pole.

The former logo, with a "majestic, sculptural
shape", symbolizes stability and fame. The gradation of the points evokes
dynamism, movement, progress and orientation to the future. The central axis
represents the share of the several elements that constitute Mirabel's strength
and wealth.
The new logo was presented in a press release issued on 17
February 2021, for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the town.
The new logo evokes the town's major pillars, aeronautics (through the blue
ascending curve) and agriculture (through the touch of green, which also evokes
sustainable development), which also refer to the town's coat of arms and
foundations. The "M", which has been used for a few years in diverse campaigns
organized by the town, is the logo's central element. It is a strong, positive
and human symbol already part of the town's image.
The curves recall
movement, evolution and change. The dark blue shade and the unique structure of
letter "A" have been kept as a wink to the former logo.
The colors are:
Light blue: Pantone 298
Dark blue: Pantone 287
Green: Pantone 376.
