The flag of the Municipality of the County of Pictou, Nova Scotia, consists of three vertical stripes of red-white-blue, where the white stripe is wider, and the county coat of arms in the middle of the white stripe.
Common Seal and Armorial Achievement By-Law
5. (1) The arms of the 
Municipality shall be as follows:
Azure a clenched dexter hand with a sprig 
of mayflower in bloom proper and banner; Chief-cross of St. Andrews, a white 
cross on a blue field; dexter fess - ship on field of gold with sails spread; 
sinister fess - lamp of knowledge; dexter base - fish superimposed on axe and 
pick; sinister base - stag's head, all proper;
5. (2) The foregoing 
heraldic description shall be interpreted as follows:
Steel helmet with visor 
closed facing right surmounted by clenched hand holding natural sprig of 
mayflowers in bloom with gold banner and peripheral scroll. Flag of St. Andrews 
on top of shield. Shield contains on the left as one faces it red ship on gold 
field with sails spread over base of fish superimposed on crossed axe and pick; 
on the right the lamp of knowledge on a red field; on top stag's head in red on 
field of gold. Supporters - blue mantle with gold lining tasseled with a gold 
cord and thistle. The motto to be shown below on a ribbon as "CUIMHNICH AIR NA 
DAOINE O'N B'THAINIG THU" which may be freely translated as "Remember the men 
from whom you are sprung".
