A photograph from the Special Olympics hosted in Antigonish in 2018 shows the flags of Antigonish County and Antigonish town. The flag is the seal on a maroon field. The seal depicts a thistle, reflecting the connections between the area and Scotland.

A slightly different flag appears to be a little shorter and the background is with a lively wine color. The shade of green on the thistle is even greener and the top of the flower now has a pink top layer.
