The flag of the Village of Sainte-Marie-Saint-Raphael, New Brunswick, is
white with village coat of arms in the center. The coat of arms consists of a
shield with sun and rays over the water and fish net. Over the shield are
positioned two fish, and below the shield a ribbon with the words "STE-MARIE /
OMNIA E PROVIDENCIA / ST-RAPHAEL".
Photo of the flag, image of the coat
of arms and information thanks to Susie Godin, Secrétaire municipale adjointe,
Village Ste-Marie-St-Raphaël.

The brown border of the shield means that the founders of the village lived
from agriculture. The fish represent today's main resource, the sea appears as
the supplier of the resource, the fishing net means that the village mostly
lives from fishing, and the net meshes mean that two communities were merged in
to a single village. The sun appears as required to fertilize the soil. The
Latin motto "OMNIA E PROVIDENCIA" means "Everything Comes From Providence".
