New logo unveiled for area’s newest village
Branding includes new flag
and logo
Bois Joli village council unveiled its new logo last week. The
logo and branding for the third and final “new” community in Restigouche has
been finalized.
The village of Bois Joli – formed through the
amalgamation of the former villages of Balmoral and Eel-River Dundee, along with
portions of neighbouring local service districts – unveiled its new logo on Dec.
14 at a community event at the Balmoral Community Centre in the village. It
follows similar announcements in Heron Bay over the summer and the Campbellton
Regional Community earlier this autumn.
Bois Joli’s two-coloured flag
includes the logo of a maple leaf signifying the importance of trees and a
river, to note the importance water systems have contributed to the history of
the various portions of the community. The flag includes the slogan: “A
community between river and nature.”
A release from the village said the
new brand and slogan were the results of efforts by members of council and
others. “It’s simple, modern design reflects the natural beauty that
characterizes the community,” said the release. “The green and blue colours are
an integral part of the new logo including certain key elements such as
mountains, forest, rivers and nature.”
