On 22 March 2018 Roy Christophe Pinette shared Ville d'Edmundston's video with the FaceGroup. As I understand it, it shows a mayor of a competing town having the Edmundston flag ready to hoist if a match between the towns should go the wrong way.

White with six blue stars with green shadow, places three by three diagonally, the word EDMUNDSTON right of the stars in green, and under in blue letters:
La ville
6 étoiles.

The "6" also has a green shadow. The six stars are probably a reference to the Legendary Republic of Madawaska and its flag with six stars representing the six founding people of Madawaska. Currently, Madawaska is a New Brunswick county, but historically the French seigneury included what is today Aroostook county in Maine and Temiscouata county in Quebec. (Seen in 2000 on the website).

The six stars have several meanings: the pioneers who have created a proud and energetic community; the quality of tourist greeting and the leisure installations; the dynamism of the city. The fact that the stars are side-by-side expresses the tightness of the links united the population. The oblique disposition illustrates the desire to always move forward, keeping one's head high. The green shadow projected indicates the distance already traveled, a solid past to reach an invincible future. Blue represents the St. John and Madawaska rivers, while green represents the importance of the foresting resource.

Note: the six stars surely also make a reference to the six stars on the flag of the Legendary Republic of Madawaska, representing the so-called six founding people. The inscription "La ville 6 étoiles" means 'The 6 star city'.
