The Village

"The Village of Pouce Coupe (French for "cut-thumb") is a small town in northeastern British Columbia, Canada, and a member municipality of the Peace River Regional District. It was originally named 'Pouskapie's Prairie, after the name of the local native band chief. An earlier flag of the Village of Pouce Coupe, British Columbia, consists of three horizontal stripes of green-white-green with old village emblem position on the hoist overlapping all three stripes and "Pouce Coupe" in the rest of the white stripe.
