Description of the flag

The municipal flag of the Town of Bassano (population: 1309) has a depiction of an irrigation dam which is approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) south west of the Town. Two flowers on the flag represent the Alberta wild rose, the official provincial floral emblem. Bassano is located 140 km (80 miles) east of Calgary and 160 km (95 miles) west of Medicine Hat.
