The municipality of Timbó Grande (9,856 inhabitants in 2010; 59,694 ha) is located 450 km north-west of Florianópolis.

The flag of Timbó Grande is horizontally divided yellow-green-yellow, with a
thin white stripe separating the yellow and green stripes, charged in the center
with a white disc inscribing the municipal coat of arms.
