The Band

Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians of Montana is a tribe of Ojibwe people in Montana and was officially recognized by U.S. federal govt. on 20 December 2019.

Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians is the newest federally recognized US tribe, and state recognized tribe in Montana. The tribe has about 5400 enrolled members.

There are/were at least three flags for this tribe. The oldest one is diagonally divided red over white. The second one was adopted in 2006 and has a yellow background with buffalo on it, and the current one is deep blue with tribal seal on it.
