Description of the flag

A dark blue flag with a squarish county logo or shield on it, consisting of the name prominently written across the center, over a desert scene of a galloping horse on a moon-like disk, and behind a mountain and valley.

Diagonally divided sand over green, the name LYON written in white downwards along the divide in color, a disk with a pick and shovel in the upper fly and a disk with steer in the lower hoist. The date written in black in the bottom center.
