The article says "Markey Township Treasurer Sheryl Tussey (left) and Markey Township Treasurer Wendy Engle hold the new Markey Township flag, which was presented to the public during the township board’s regular meeting Dec. 14. The flag was designed by Houghton Lake High School graduate Hailey Hayes and was produced by the Custom Flag Company. Tussey said the flag will be part of the Michigan Township Association’s Parade of Flags during their annual educational conference in Detroit in January."
