Current photos show that the flag of Richmond has been slightly revised with a different typeface. The change occurred in 2019 or earlier.

I'm not sure the city flag has changed or it has always looked like the image at the top of this page. I haven't been able to find a photo of a flag using this logo from the city website: https://www.ci.richmond.ca.us/ImageRepository/Document?documentId=62463
