It is that one of the former Carvalhais Commune but with different inscription.

Carvalhais e Candal is one of the four communes of São Pedro do Sul Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 1413 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 43,73 km².

Shield Argent a Roman arch Azure and two oaks eradicated Vert all set 1:2, issuant from base a mound of three coupeaux Vert. Mural crown with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "CARVALHAIS - S. PEDRO DO SU". 
Meaning:
The oaks are canting elements, as the name is derived from "oak grove" (Portuguese: carvalhal)

Carvalhais was one of the nine communes of São Pedro do Sul Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 1436 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 31,49 km².

Candal was one of the nine communes of São Pedro do Sul Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 118 inhabitants in 2021 and covered 15,51 km². The commune  didn´t adopt a flag and coat of arms before this date (no info in any of the usual sources).
