Yes, I forgot to add it, that was the intention of the artist.

The proposal for the flag of Poland from 2001 by the artist Grzegorz Klaman 
included 5 versions of the Polish flag instead of just the one shown above, 
promoting black as the third Polish national color, in different versions:
1. Black / white / red.
