Alpina Scheepvaart NV, Rotterdam, was founded in 1953 as the successor to the Maatschappij Nederlandsch Zwitsersche Scheepvaartmaatschappij, The house flag was the same as that of the predecessor. The last company was a subsidiary company of the Schweizerische Schleppschiffahrt Genossenschaft of Basel. Main activity was inland navigation.
