A variant flag is the same orange horizontal background but with the bottom white stripe a bit higher than the image above. Also, the white candle logo seems a little farther from the hoist.

The Hebrew University of Jerusalem Israel (HUJI) was established on July 24, 1918 with the opening ceremony held on April 1, 1925. It is the second-oldest institution of higher learning in Israel, having been founded 30 years before the establishment of the State of Israel.

The flag is a white horizontal background with the logo in the middle. The updated logo was designed by Arielle Shekel derived from a graduation Project in 2012 and adopted with slight changes on April 1, 2015. "Due to the symbol's historical significance, the concept for the redesign of the logo included modifying the existing symbol to update it to the present and future: the shape of the flame was changed to a geometrical form, to be in accordance with the rest of the symbol; the shape was straightened slightly, creating geometrical balance and a precise, clean look; the symbol was divided into the basic forms it was built from to examine the geometry; and colors were added to the newly created shapes." The font type is called "University" designed by Emanuel Grau in 1958 with a new font type redesigned in 2015 for the Project by Professor Adi Stern.
