Blue pennant with an original blue and white cross. Varel is located south of Wilhelmshaven, Niedersachsen.

The club has a rowing and a sailing department as well. The pennant is blue with a white bordure and the white cross patty from the arms of Bremen's borough of Vegesack shifted to hoist.
