Member states

After the formation on 11 February 1959 of the Federation of South Arabian Emirates, there remained a Protectorate of South Arabia, consisting of :

• Dhiebi (Dhubi)
• Ma'an
• Wahidi Bir Ali
• Kathiri State in Seiyun
• Qu'aiti State in Hadhramaut
• Mahra Sultanate of Qishn and Socotra
