The seal contains a golden ring with the city and state name inscribed on it. Also inscribed on the ring is the incorporation year and the city motto: "City of Homes". In the center of the seal shows a small park with some buildings in the background.

The logo shows a blue crescent with the roof of the Newnan city hall. The roof splits the incorporation year of 1828. under the crescent is the city and state names.
