Hakkari province (275,761 inhabitants in 2017, 712,100 ha) forms the
south-eastern corner of Turkey, bordering Iraq and Iran.
The provincial
logo was adopted in 2014.
The turquoise color symbolizes peace and
tranquillity.
The logo features letters "T.C." for "Turkish Republic"; the
crescent-shaped "C" and the neighboring star increases the reference to the
state.
The line represents the mountains and river Zap. The three "folds"
stand for the three districts of Çukurca, Şemdinli and Yüksekova.
The
fritillary (inverted tulip) symbolizes natural environment.
