The coat of arms of Sudzha is a bluish grey and is divided into two sections
horizontally. At the top is a descending blue bar with three black birds. At the
bottom is a wild grey goose sitting in green reeds (a tall grass-like plant
found near marshes) in a silver field. The coat of arms was created by Alexander
Andreevich Volkov circa 1780.

The chief displays the arms of the Kursk Oblast, which is blazoned as: Argent
on a bend azure three partridges of the field. However, for an unclear reason,
the birds are depicted as proper.

The field of the arms of Sudzha is also argent:

The tincture may
be depicted either as white or as a very light grey; in the latter case, bluish
shade is just a result of the aging of the image.
As https://geraldika.ru/s/20400
says, the field is supposed to be white, but is depicted as light grey
("silver").
