Coat of arms

Shield Azure, four dolmens (Port.: antas) Argent garnished Sable ordered 2:2. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "ANTAS - VILA NOVA de FAMALICÃO"
Meaning:
The arms are canting. "Anta" actually meaning a pilaster, is also used for the complete dolmen.

Antas Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vila Nova da Famalicão Municipality; it had 6925 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 4.4 km².

Shield Or, a distaff Sable with spindle spinning filaments Gules; in orle two flax branches Vert blossomed blue, connected in base per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "ABADE DE VERMOIM".
