Coat of arms

Shield Vert, two horses forcene respectant Argent, in chief an oak branch Argent having two leaves and two acorns fruited Or, in either chief corner a chestnut Or filled Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VALE DAS ÉGUAS - SABUGAL".
Meaning:
The name of the commune means "valley of mares" (=she-horses). The horses are thus canting elements.
