It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Coat of arms

Shield Azure, parted by a saltire Or, the quarters are charged as follows: a dove Argent armed Gules and nimbed Or in chief, one mitre Argent at dexter, another at sinister, a crossbow Argent set per pale in base. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "TRAVANCA - OLIVEIRA DE AZEMÉIS".
Meaning:
The dove is a representation of the Holy Spirit. The mitres are alluding to St. Martin, the local patron saint.

Shield Or, a bend sinister Azure charged with a bendlet sinister Argent, in dexter chief a pine branch Vert fruited Gules, in sinister base a cogwheel Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll (Bénard Guedes style) with inscription in black capitals "PALMAZ".
Meaning:
The bend wavy is representing the Caima River. The pine branch is representing the local floral and recreation area. The cogwheel is representing industries.
