Coat of arms

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent crowned by black rocks, a plough Vert, in chief a fisher's needle Sable with filament Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "SANTANA - NISA".
Meaning:
The needle is representing fishery, the plough agriculture. The base wavy is representing Tijo River and the rocks gold washing.

Santana Commune is one of the seven communes of the Nisa municipality (q.v.); it had 404 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 27.3 km².
