Shield Gules with base wavy of Argent and Vert, the green barrulets in base charged with a fish Or eyed Gules each. A disc Or flanked by two paly barley ears Or with seeds Vert. Piedade Commune is one of the six communes of the Lajes do Pico municipality (q.v.); it had 844 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 12.9 km².
