Coat of arms

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Vert, issuant from base a cape (promontory) Argent; in chief an ancient coronet Or, surrounding a sword Argent hilted Or and a palm frond Or, crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CASTELO BRANCO - HORTA".
