The white-field flag of "Israa University" containing its logo in the middle;
c. 2020. [also: al-Israa, Isra, al-Isra.] Israa University-Gaza (IUSG) is an
independent, non-profit and private Palestinian medical university, which was
established in 2014. It consisted primarily of a large 7-story main
medical-school and hospital building and three smaller nearby buildings for
about 4,100 students, It is located in the central-northern area of the Gaza
Strip and in central Gaza City. It was extensivly damaged by the Israeli
military on 17 Jan 2024, following Israeli military incursions into the Gaza
Strip in its search for Hamas militants.
