Blazon: I rødt en gull rognekvist. In English: Gules a rowan twig or.
Approved by the royal resolution of 28 October 1988.
Rowan (Norwegian: rogn) is a species of genus Sorbus, with several similar tree species with small berries-like fruits living in entire Europe. It must have been chosen for canting the municipal center Rognan.
