Located in Chiyoda City Tokyo and established in 1923. The embroidered ceremonial flag has green background with a gold emblem and horizontally written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has green background with a white emblem in the center. (Source) The university emblem was adopted in 1921, based on a design in a 1910 graduation album. The university emblem was devised by a student of the economics department at the time, combining the word "大學" with the letter pen, the initial S, and the outstretched wings of a phoenix.
