The municipality's flag is a rectangular blue cloth featuring a golden ring cross—the emblem of Vormsi Municipality—in the center. The ratio of width to length is 7:11, and the standard size is 105 x 165 cm. The height of the ring cross is half the height of the flag. The flag's color codes are: blue C100 M40 Y0 K10 and gold/yellow C0 M10 Y100 K0.
The flag's (and CoA) colors refer to the island's historic Coastal Swedish heritage. The ring cross set against a blue background symbolizes a sunny island with pristine nature situated in the middle of the sea.
