The pennant looks like a pennant of Island, a blue pennant divided by a red off-centred cross fimbriated white with the cross shifted to the hoist. In the upper hoist quarter is a white disc containing a black crowned bull's head, taken either from the coat of arms of Mecklenburg or the seal of the university.

Description of flag:
It is a white flag with a dark blue (nearly black) cotized centred cross. In the centre of the flag is a cotized white disc with a dark blue inscription "RRC", the 2nd "R" has double height. The canton is yellow with a black statant griffin from the coat of arms of the city of Rostock, but the colours in flag are different.

Description of flag reported 1913:
More or less the current flag. (my shade of blue is speculative). The griffin in the canton in the 193 report is sinister facing.
