It is a red-white vertical bicolour. The coat of arms is shifted to the top.

Tuningen Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, a bend thorn topped Sable, issuant from bend two heraldic roses Gules, seeded Or and barbed Vert.
Meaning:
Due to a proposal from the State Archive the municipality adopted the family arms of the Maier of Tuningen kin, being bailiffs of St. Gallen Monastery and leaving the village in the 14th century. Their castle had been a fiefdom of Württemberg, which finally acquired the village in 1444.

The arms were adopted in 1910 by the municipality. The banner was approved on 8 March 1982 by the county administration, published in GABl 558/1983.
