Coat of Arms

Shield Argent with base wavy Azure, a well Gules issuant from base with two basins in pale, pouring water Azure.
Meaning:
The village was known for its alkalescent mineral waters in the 15th, 16th and 17th century. The importance of these springs increased in 1926. The first village mayor's seal from 1829 just displayed the initials "ÜK". Before 1939 the municipality adopted a new seal, displaying the fountain (well). The base wavy and the well are referring to the local mineral fountains and the long tradition as a spa. The colours red and white are referring to the Counts of Helfenstein, local rulers at the beginning of the 15th century. The water had been blue at least until 1971, and was later changed to "divided blue".
