The SVRB was established on 1 April 2022, and is the only association that includes two cantons, Baselland and Basel-Stadt.
It was formed through the merger of the Kantonalschützenverband Basel-Stadt (KSV BS), the Kantonalschützengesellschaft Basel-Land (KSG BL),
and the Sportschützenverband beider Basel (SVBB). It comprises 120 clubs and 4 regional sections with
about 2900 members (website).

The Veterans' Association of Baselland was founded in 1910, that of Basel-Stadt in 1922. In 2016 the two
Associations were united in the Regionalverband Schützenveteranen Baselland & Basel-Stadt.
There is no new flag, both traditional flags are presented together (see website and photo).
