Description of the flag

The current flag is a logo on white. This logo was adopted in approximately 2017.
The human silhouette personifies the men and women proudly living in the territory. It is also a tribute to the ancestors and to the future generations.
The fish represents Atlantic salmon, the king of the local rivers and a distinctive element of history and heritage.
The coniferous tree evokes the immense forest, which so much shaped the way of life and industry.
The leaf symbolizes agriculture, a landmark of the landscapes and of economy. Its shape recalls the hills that characterize the topography of the valley.
The wave illustrates the network of lakes and rivers that unite all communities. It also symbolizes water, a precious resource that is both ubiquitous and fragile.
