The municipality of Treze de Maio (6.877 inhabitants in 2010; 16,108 ha) is located 170 km south-west of Florianópolis.

The flag of Treze de Maio is prescribed by Municipal Law No. 5 promulgated
on 15 February 1979.
Article 1.
The municipal flag has the following
heraldic description: composed of a blue field, charged in the center with a
white lozenge.
Article 2.
The coat of arms of the municipality,
prescribed by Municipal Law, is placed in the center of a white lozenge.
Article 3.
The municipal flag has the following dimensions
I - The
format shall be 1.30 m in length on 90 cm in width; the lozenge shall be 1 m in
length on 64 cm in width.
