The municipality of Armazém (7,730 inhabitants in 2010; 17,349 ha) is located 170 km south of Florianópolis.

Armazém ("General store") is named for the general store established by José Manoel Corręa.
The municipality of Armazém was established in 1965, separating from Tubarăo.

Green represents the profuse vegetation and [...].
Yellow represents the municipality's resources, inspired by the flag of Brazil.
Red represents struggle and work, inspired by the flag of Santa Catarina state.
