Shield Gules two oilcans Argent in fess facinfg each other, flanked on central chief point by a Maltese cross Argent and on central base point by a potato shrub Argent fruited Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "ESCARIGO".

Escarigo was one of the 13 communes of Fundão Municipality affected by the 2013 changes. It had 224 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 9,15 km².

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a palm frond Vert in pale between two branches of weeping willow of the same, all in fan and tied Gules, over all a knife Or in fess with blood groove Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SALGUEIRO - FUNDÃO". 
Meaning:
Knife and palm frond are attributes of St. Bartholomew, the local patron saint. The branches of weeping willow (Port.: salgueiro) are canting elements.
