On the website "Let Us
Build Pakistan" - http://criticalppp.com/archives/4190 - there's
a photo
showing the flag of Pakistan with a red Latin cross drawn on the white stripe
of the flag, symbolizing the Christian citizens of this country. For sure
it's unofficial.
Szymon Pawlas, 10 August 2011
This is a protest flag being displayed by a Pakistani Christian during what
was then a recent protest, as the picture caption reads: "Two-wheel protest: a
Pakistani Christian carries a national flag in a rally, held on Tuesday, to
condemn the killing of Christians by Muslims", by AP (Associated Press) news
agency. The image is originally located here:
https://www.churchtimes.co.uk/media/5619548/p6_pakistan-protests_1-1.jpg?width=1000
(source:
https://www.churchtimes.co.uk/articles/2009/14-august/news/uk/solidarity-visit-planned-for-pakistan).
It originally appeared on a news article titled "Solidarity visit planned for
Pakistan" by Church Times, a British newspaper, written by Bill Bowder and the
picture was reportedly taken one day before the article was published, that is:
August 11, 2009. The events that sparked the protests occurred the week before,
on August 7 when an attack on several Christians took place in Gojra.
The
article was then replicated by the (now defunct) website "Let us build
Pakistan", as originally reported, and published online on their website. The
image can be tracked to its (archived) original location here:

(source:

They used the original image on their website for a different article regarding
the same topic, titled "The Christian Cross: A Fading Symbol in Pakistan – by
Zeresh John", January 4, 2010. "Let us build Pakistan" (http://criticalppp.com/
and
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Let-Us-Build-Pakistan/265291019560) was an
online blog that portrays "critical reflections on Pakistan’s politics, society
and arts. This blog has been created in support of a progressive, inclusive and
democratic Pakistan. In the main, the blog offers original articles as well as a
selection of editorials and op-eds from the Pakistani and international press."
It was an opposition news outlet to the (then ruling)
PPP (Pakistan People's Party). Hence the name
of its website "Critical PPP".
