The Association des Voiliers en Polynésie (AVP) was founded on 4
February 1983 in Papeete, Tahiti, succeeding the Association des
propriétaires de croiseurs d'Outumaoro, itself founded on 6 February
1981.
The burgee of AVP (photo), is white with a blue border and two red triangles separated by a white horizontal stripe charged with the blue letters "AVP".
