Blazon: I sølv en liggende rød båtmannsknute. In English: Argent a reef knot gules.
Approved by the royal resolution of 22 July 1988
The name of the knot in Norwegian means a "boatsman's knot" linking the emblem with the importance of Fauske as a transportation centre.
