I was not informed about when the flag was adopted. However, it appears to have been adopted in 2024, at the start of the term of Municipal President Andrés Carballo Córdova (2024-2027). It is white with its coat of arms centered upon it.

The council did not inform me on the history of its coat of arms. It is mentioned through Chapter III of its Municipal Regulation on Police and Government. In Article 14, it reads:
Characterization and significance of the Shield of Pichucalco: It represents a pod of cacao with its grains uncovered [in the center of a shield with a red border, covered in green];
The center is crossed vertically by a cluster of bananas, extending its foliage in the upper part [which carries a blue ribbon reading "PICHUCALCO CHIAPAS"];
In the middle part two wild boars are linked together, which characterize the significance of the word Pichucalco, toponym whose significance is: land of wild boars;
In the lateral extremes, two Maya faces are slightly located in the back, giving context to the ethnic origin of Pichucalco Chiapas [the Zoque people].
In the lower part, a small orographic zone of the place is represented, highlighting its productive elements, cattle-raising and the exploitation of hydrocarbons.
For effects to the perspective, the pod of cacao is best seen at close distance, detaching from it five drops of water, signifying the rainfall, proper characteristic of the Municipality.
The name of Pichucalco from the Náhuatl "pitzo-kalko" which signifies population of wild boars or simply "place of wild boars"
