It was a green over white triangular pennant. In the upper hoist corner was a white 6-point star. In the lower hoist corner was a green "N".
There is evidence from the club's webpage, that the pennant had been replaced by the current at least in 1925 (it probably happened around 1918).

The flag was white white parted by a black centred cross fimbriated blue.
Over all on centre was the lion from the city arms in black, surrounded by a black oval.
The upper hoist quarter was parted into three white stripes with black inscription "R.V.B." on the central stripe.
