German Aero Club

The German Aero Club (Deutscher Aero Club e. V.) is the umbrella organisation for air sports in Germany. Founded in Gersfeld (then in West Germany) on 4 August 1950. It became a member of the World Air Sports Federation, see Fédération Aéronautique Internationale since July 1951. It merged with the Flug- und Fallschirmsportverband (the air sports association of East Germany) on 21 September 1990.
