The Tahlapi Band is unrecognized tribe in Arkansas.

"We are the Afro-Descendants of the Choctaw Indian Freedmen and Women, This is our Cultural and Heritage organization. This is where we tell the stories of our Ancestors and Ourselves, record the history of our people for ourselves as well as our future descendants and generations. So that we tell our stories in our own words. See also the International Heritage and Museum Corporation that’s for our cultural resource management archives, museums, galleries, artifacts and crafts stores for both our African and Native American cultures and history . Our motto is: FOREVER FREE."
