The Yachting Club of America was founded in 1963 as the first National
Association of Yacht Clubs. In both cases, the territory refers to Marco Island,
Florida, USA.
They are at best an association of yacht clubs, which is
slightly odd as they rather moved away from that denomination. Alternatively,
they may be just be a list of clubs. I can't say for certain, as I'm not a yacht
club listed in their main(?) publication,
https://www.ycaol.com
However, they have a burgee that is a hoist of
blue bearing a white propeller over white a bermuda rig sailing towards the
hoist, and a fly barruly of thirteen, gules and argent, the pattern diminishing
into a point.
Their depiction of the burgee is less than perfect, which
suggests it may not exist in the cloth, which that would agree with their
members being clubs, rather than yachts. My depiction is not perfect either, so
anyone who knows how to draw a propeller ...
